A note from the artist 

I am drawn to the way rain makes the smallest details visible: a bead of water along a vein, the fragile edge of a gray leaf, a bright stem crossing a field of pink. In these four photographs, golden yellow and soft pink share the scene with dark, wet surfaces. Together, they hold the color and intricacy I love in autumn. — Martha Solo

Why this photograph on canvas

Canvas gives the image a true work-of-art surface and depth. I print these photographs on Red River canvas with archival Epson inks, bringing the fine leaf patterns and rain droplets to a woven surface. Each print remains flat so you can choose a frame that suits your room.

Colors and styling

Golden yellow, lavender pink, pale gray, orange and olive green stand against charcoal and deep blue-green backgrounds. Cream walls and natural wood let the brighter leaves stand out; a muted teal wall or soft plum textile can echo the quieter colors. Sizes and framing

Select one size for the complete four-print set: 9x12, 12x16 or 15x20 inches per print. Two prints are portrait; the two landscape prints measure 12x9, 16x12 or 20x15 inches. Every finished size includes a 1/8-inch off-white border on each side. Frame the canvas flat like a paper or photo print, using the corresponding frame size or a larger frame with a suitable mat. Display the set together or as two pairs

For the complete arrangement, place yellow leaves at the upper left, the gray leaf at the upper right, the pink leaf at the lower left and the multicolor leaves at the lower right. For two separate groups, pair the portrait prints side by side and stack the landscape prints in another spot. Keep a consistent gap within each group and measure the outside of your chosen frames before marking the wall.
